IHA has finalized negotiations on a long-term lease and will be moving in January 2016 to 500 North Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis, approximately three blocks northeast of its current offices. A comprehensive review indicated this 13-year lease option would provide a potential savings of $1 million for rent and parking, equating to an average annual savings of $81,000.
“Though we will be saying goodbye to our home for the last 30 years,” said President Doug Leonard, “I believe this space will prove beneficial for the growth of the association, its employees, members and partners.”
This move will allow IHA to provide members with on-site parking and host on-site Board and Council meetings. Hall Render, IHA’s legal counsel, and Blue & Co., IHA’s financial advisor, will also move to this new location.
